A Message from Ronald Phelps, President
In 1954, my father, Richard W. Phelps, purchased his brothers insurance agency. With one other staff member, he built a thriving property and casualty agency, serving hundreds of families in the Binghamton area. I joined the agency part-time in 1966 when I was 19 years old. After graduating from college and serving in the United States Army, I returned in 1971 as a full-time producer, expanding our services to include life, accident and health insurance. After my father stepped down in 1984, I became president, focusing on growth, staff development, service and technology. Today, our agency family is a team of ten, providing expertise in marketing, underwriting, financial services, and claims; and sharing a common commitment to the financial protection of our clients families and property.
